Under the guidance of Tibetan lama and scholar Khenpo Samdup Rinpoche, Madrid will gather to receive teachings and practice the Prayer of Kuntuzangpo.

(Tib. ཀུན་བཟང་སྨོན་ལམ་, Kunzang Mönlam, Wyl. kun bzang smon lam)

A famous Dzogchen aspiration prayer from the Gongpa Zangthal.

It is to be recited especially during a solar or lunar eclipse, an earthquake or at the solstices.

Practice in community

Prayer of Kuntuzangpo is a powerful practice to release emotions as they arise, as soon as we recognize them with our awareness.

The Pillars

  1. Relax in the natural state: Learn to identify emotional afflictions and liberate them as they arise by relaxing completely your mind.

  2. Aspiration: As you realise this, aspire that all beings suffering emotional afflictions may recognise too their own intrinsic awareness.

  3. Dzogchen Tantra: Deepen your connection with the Dzogchen tradition.

  4. Summer Solstice special practice: This practice is especially practiced during a solar or lunar eclipse, an earthquake or at the solstices..

Daily Flow

  • 14:30pm Arrivals after lunch, water will be provided, but please bring your own watter bottle.

  • 15:00 - 17:00pm Teachings and Practice to cultivate awareness, detachment and peacefulness, led by Khenpo Samdup Rinpoche.

  • 17.15pm Daily Practice with various prayers specially designed by Khenpo.

  • 18:00pm Departures

Private villa in Aravaca, Madrid.

Exact location will be sent to registered participants.

This event has a recommended donation of EUR 50 per day.

Nobody because of financial limitations will be excluded, you are welcome to register with a donation ticket and give what you can at your arrival in the event.

Led by Khenpo Samdup Rinpoche

His Venerable Khenpo Samdup Rinpoche was born in Tibet and is a long time student of His Eminence Garchen Rinpoche. When he was seven years old he received the vows of Refuge from Garchen Rinpoche, and at the age of twelve he became ordained as a monk.He studied the philosophy of the four schools of Tibetan Buddhism under numerous Khenpos, such as Khenpo Munsel and Khenpo Jigme Phunsok. Currently, Khenpo is the Spiritual Director at various Dharma centers in Canada, Ohio, Mexico and Brazil, and travels the world sharing Dharma wisdom through retreats, in-person and online gatherings.
