No. While our roots are in the millenary wisdom of Tibetan Dharma, we teach it as a practical 'operating system' for the mind. We bridge ancient logic with modern science to provide actionable tools for secular leadership.

The primary goal of a Wisdom Health retreat is to facilitate an "Internal Upgrade" for the global leaders of tomorrow. In an era of accelerating AI and global complexity, traditional leadership frameworks have reached their limit. Our retreats provide the space to develop the only intelligence that cannot be automated: Wisdom and Compassionate Awareness.

Our 5-day immersions are designed to achieve four core objectives:

• 1. From Noise to Clarity (Strategic Discernment): We help leaders switch off the "worldly noise"—the neuronal patterns of constant distraction—to restore self-agency. By applying millenary Dharma practice, participants gain a razor-sharp perception of reality as it is, allowing for more strategic, calm, and visionary decision-making.

• 2. Developing Augmented Intimacy: We bridge the gap between "Silicon and Sangha." A key goal is to foster the intentional capacity for deep human-to-human connection. By integrating ancient practices with insights from modern neuroscience and humane technology, leaders learn to build "fields of trust" that are essential for the new well-being economy.

• 3. Wealth Transformation & Regenerative Action: We move beyond the concept of "sustainability" toward Regeneration. Our programs guide wealth holders and impact investors to align their capital with their internal values, transforming the practice of business into a practice of generosity that yields a high return on both global and personal well-being.

Led by meditation teacher Álvaro Guirao, our retreats put Dharma practices and tools at the very core of leadership training.

Our unique proposal, therefore, is to work first and foremost the Dharma of each individual through mindfulness and Buddhist practices that cultivate discernment, detachment, connection and awareness. We are bridging millenary methods with cutting-edge conscious leadership tools to help leaders realize who they really are, what they are really here for, and what all of this really is.

Dharma forms the basis of the path to realization and self-actualization in Buddhism and Hinduism. As understood in Tibetan Buddhism, it relates to our ability as individuals to realize an understanding of the true nature of reality, and therefore, our true potential, purpose and virtuous impact. It shows us the way through which we can cultivate a pure perception; that is, an understanding of inner and outer reality as it is.

We believe that through awareness and meditation we can expand our understanding, perception and commitments as leaders. We can refine our values, sharpen our awareness, and give rise to the decisions, commitments and actions that will create long-lasting, positive and life-supporting global change.

Álvaro Guirao is a computer science engineer, meditation teacher, and the visionary behind Wisdom Health. With an family business background spanning three generations in optics, textile manufacturing, and civil engineering, Álvaro understands the pressures of high-stakes leadership.

A pivotal crisis of meaning at age 27 led him on a profound investigation into the nature of suffering and compassion. This journey resulted in his establishing the Empathic Reactive Media Lab at the University Autónoma of Madrid’s medical faculty, since then he spent a decade prototyping innovative science and technology to alleviate suffering and cultivate empathy.

Spiritual Authority & Modern Bridge

Álvaro is a devoted student of His Eminence Garchen Rinpoche, from whom whom received the vows of Refuge and Boddhisattva. He has extensively studied Buddhist philosophy under the guidance of Venerable Khenpo Samdup Rinpoche and several other spiritual masters.

In 2025, with the blessing and motivation of his estimated Dharma teachers, Álvaro was established as a meditation teacher. His mission is unique: to integrate rigorous modern science, emerging technology, leadership frameworks, and high-level coaching skills to serve as an authentic bridge between East and West, Ancient and Modern.

Álvaro is a regular speaker at global conferences on the intersection of Buddhism, neuroscience, and compassion, including the World Economic Forum week, Woodenfish Foundation, World Happiness Summit and the Transformative Technologies Conference.

As the founder and CEO of both Wisdom Health and Optimal XR AG, Álvaro travels the world sharing Dharma wisdom through retreats, private gatherings, and the MAAR Platform (Mindfulness, Altruism, Art, and Regeneration)—a global movement he successfully launched during the World Economic Forum (WEF) Week in Davos 2026.

A visionary of "humane technologies," Álvaro established Optimal XR to unite Dharma and science through emerging platforms, creating an "Augmented Intimacy" that cultivates mindfulness and reduces stress on a global scale.
